Activity of Hydro Project Monitoring Division
- Monitoring the progress of all under construction hydroelectric power projects (above 25 MW) in the country (after all statutory clearances and award of first major civil contract).
- Periodic review of under construction hydro projects with project developers
- Identify critical areas leading to time and cost over runs and suggest timely remedial measures
- Formulate yearly hydro capacity addition program based on the progress of works.
- Quarterly/Monthly Status Reports of ongoing projects are brought out by the Division.
- Examination of MoU targets for the next year and evaluation of MoU achievement for the previous year in respect of all Hydro CPSU's viz. NHPC, NTPC, NEEPCO, SUVIL and THDC.
