1. CE NPC is the Member Secretary of NPC and the Division act as NPC Secretariat.
2. To resolve issue among Regional Power Committees (RPCs) and to bring uniformity among RPCs by following the best practices of RPC at pan India level.
3. To discuss and resolve issues referred to NPC requiring consultation among one or more RPCs, issues having inter-regional implication or any other issues affecting more than one region or all regions.
4. To Analysis and monitoring of grid disturbances on regional/national basis.
5. Portal for Utilisation of Surplus Power (PUShP portal): Temporary re-allocation of Power of Central Generating Stations for short term on PUShP portal and to resolve the implementation issues related to PUShP portal.
