Activity of Hydro Project Monitoring Division
1. Monitoring the progress of all under construction hydroelectric power projects (above 25 MW) in the country (after all statutory clearances and award of first major civil contract). 2. Periodic review of under construction hydro projects with project developers. 3. Identify critical areas leading to time and cost over runs and suggest timely remedial measures 4. Formulate yearly hydro capacity addition program based on the progress of works. 5. Quarterly/Monthly Status Reports of ongoing projects are brought out by the Division. 6. Examination of MoU targets for the next year and evaluation of MoU achievement for the previous year in respect of all Hydro CPSU's viz. NHPC, NTPC, NEEPCO, SUVIL and THDC.
